FLIGHTS IN THE SIMULATOR
You may wish to experience the simulator for yourself, a friend or relative. Booking is simple and easy. Why not log on to our live camera when it is operational and see what is involved.
Sitting in the left-hand Captains seat, training will be given on all aspects of cockpit operations
- Familiarisation with the basic controls
- Explanation of what all the instrument functions are
- A brief look at the overhead controls
- Explanation of the charts we will use
- Inputting the flight plan into the 'flight management computer'
- Pre-flight checks
- Starting engines and requesting pushback
- Taxiing to the runway and setting take off flaps
- Lining up ready for take off
- Lift off and setting the Mode Control Panel (Autopilot system)
- Checking navigation enroute
- Preparing and planning decent for landing, entering landing data into the flight management computer
- Pre- landing checks
- Monitoring the approach
- Performing a manual landing or an 'Autoland' the aircraft - your choice.
- Taxiing to the gate
- Shutting down and making safe.
On completion you will receive the charts we used in your flight to take away with you. You may bring a friend or relative with you who may take video or photographs during your flight.
